Constitution Vote result

Dear Members,
Further to our call for a vote on a resolution to change two aspects of the constitution, we can confirm that the resolution was carried unanimously by those who voted. In that regard, there were a sufficient number of votes (67 in total) representing well over 50% of the CVA membership so all thresholds in Article 56 of the constitution have been satisfied for us to proceed accordingly (we needed 2/3rds of 50% of the membership to vote in favour).

The process now is that we officially notify the Office of Scottish Charities (OSCR) of our intention to amend the constitution. We have to wait 42 days for them to object which we do not anticipate will happen.
We will keep you apprised of the ultimate outcome.
Many thanks again for voting in such numbers.
Best regards,
Peter Sellar
Chairman
