Pamela Kennedy:         Pamela, minister for the Church of Scotland for Innerleithen, Walkerburn and Traquair Church and Cardrona Connections, and also the manager of the “Meet and Eat” initiative, will say a few words about the plans for the initiative for the next few months.

Provisional budget for 2023/2024, including proposal on members’ subscriptions.

• Vote on increase to the fees for the hire of the hall; and
• Vote on increase to the annual membership fee.

Election of board members, to hold office until the annual general meeting in 2024.

• Change to constitution: a show of hands to show members’ indicative approval to have the membership year from 1^st. April to 31^st. March of each year; and
• Call for new members for the board and volunteers

With the exception of Ian Nimmo, each of the members was appointed for the first time at the annual general meeting of the Association in 2022.  Ian was appointed for the first time in 2020.

The board is always looking for support, whether on the board or as a volunteer offering to help from time to time.  If you join the board, you will be able to add value not only to our community and but also to the fabric of the village as a whole.

We meet every six to eight weeks for a couple of hours, usually at the Macdonald Cardrona Hotel.  Do put your hand up and come and join us!

Also, the annual general meeting is an opportunity for you to suggest ideas for the C.V.A. in the coming year.  Please speak to us on the night, or send an e-mail or put a note on Facebook or on the new website when it is up and running.
